What Is Cellutone®?

Cellutone® is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment that utilizes targeted therapeutic vibrations to reduce cellulite and improve skin texture in numerous regions of the body. The micro-pulsed energy delivered into the skin works to loosen—and even break apart—tight tissue structures that are responsible for creating the appearance of cellulite and other contour concerns as they pull the skin downward. Furthermore, the controlled energy vibrations enhance microcirculation in the targeted region, helping to increase blood supply and oxygen levels, facilitate lymphatic flow and metabolic processes, and promote the production of new collagen and elastin fibers for smoother, firmer skin. Since the treatment is completely non-invasive, most patients experience no discomfort, side effects, or downtime, often returning to normal daily routines as soon as they leave our office.

Did You Know?

While effective on its own, Dr. Boynton has found Cellutone® to be particularly beneficial when combined with procedures such as traditional liposuction, in-office PAL liposuction, and EXILIS ULTRA 360 skin tightening, helping to improve the results of each of these treatments.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Cellutone®?

Good candidates for Cellutone® generally include women and men 18 years of age or older who are seeking to improve the appearance of one or more of the following concerns:

  • Cellulite
  • Skin laxity
  • Stretch marks
  • Crepey skin
  • Irregular skin texture

Treatment is most notably effective in the abdomen, hips, flanks, buttocks, thighs, and upper arms, though it can potentially be used on virtually any area of the body.

What Is the Cellutone® Procedure Like?

To begin the Cellutone® treatment, an ultrasound gel is first applied to the target area. A small handpiece is then pressed gently to the skin and strategically moved around as it delivers vibrations to the tissue below, softening and breaking apart overly-tight fibers. While most patients note they can feel these vibrations, the procedure is not usually associated with any discomfort.

The time it takes to complete the Cellutone® treatment will depend on the number and size of areas addressed, but once finished, patients are typically able to resume normal activities right away. Usually, a series of four to six sessions spaced out over a few weeks will be needed to achieve an optimal outcome.
